Women Forward Chicago is an intensive, woman-centered financial education program designed to create a safe space to set goals and build financial confidence. Through community style workshops, with free daycare, nutritious meals and access to community resources, the program helps mothers become financial leaders in their households.
In January, our first cohort of Women Forward Chicago completed their program with an empowering graduation ceremony, held at Wilbur Wright College.
Northwest Side Housing Center, in partnership with Carl Schurz High School, Steinmetz College Prep, and Build On, provide a Youth Financial Education Internship to students in Belmont Cragin. Through this internship, Northwest Side Housing Center provides financial education and leadership development to youth, covering topics from budgeting, credit, college preparedness, and beyond.
