PRE-PURCHASE COUNSELING

Whether you're ready now or are new to the process, we can help you plan to purchase a home. Our one-on-one counseling and First-Time Homebuyer Classes will help you navigate the home buying process.

FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYER CLASS

Our free First-Time Homebuyer Class is a two-part course exploring the home buying process, from building your credit to closing the deal. Can't make it in-person? Take an online class from our nonprofit partner, Housing and Education Alliance. The online class is $100, and upon completion we will contact you to receive a certificate.

Our FOC is a one-stop-shop to improve your financial well-being. Our team of financial coaches, income support advisors, and our workforce development partner, Cara Connects, will help you boost earnings & savings, reduce expenses, and find employment.

RENTAL COUNSELING

Looking for a place to rent? Need help finding responsible tenants? We provide free rental counseling for renters and landlords regarding: budget and credit counseling, apartment search assistance, Landlord/Tenant disputes and educational workshops.

LOW-INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Meet with one of our LIHEAP counselors to learn how you can make heating and cooling your home more affordable and energy efficient. You may also qualify for energy cost discounts or monthly utility payments. LIHEAP is available to low-income, qualifying households in Cook County. Walk-ins welcome, no appointment needed.

WOMEN FORWARD CHICAGO

Women Forward Chicago is a Latina-centered financial education program designed to create a safe space to set goals and build financial confidence. With your busy schedule in mind, we are happy to offer a community-style workshop, with free daycare, nutritious meals, and access to community resources that will benefit you and your family. We also offer financial coaching to those who prefer one-on-one assistance.
